PROMETHEUS       Foundry

Prometheus Foundry opened its doors in 2005 as the Tuska Foundry.  It was started by Brad Connell and Seth Tuska and was named after Seth's late father, American ceramist and bronze sculptor John Regis Tuska.

In 2009, Seth decided to focus his energy on developing a museum of his father's work in the family home and opening an educational and learning center.  He sold his interest in the foundry to Amanda Matthews.   Amanda and Brad changed the name and the Prometheus Foundry was born.

Prometheus is the Greek Titan God of fire, metal work, and art (sculpture in particular).  He was given the task by Zeus to create man out of clay.  Prometheus took quite an interest in man and had compassion for him while Zeus could care less.  He stole fire from Mt. Olympus and smuggled it to man in a fennel stalk.
